11 Samacheer Kalvi Solutions for 12.2.4

In the 16th century two mathematicians from France came up with the idea of Probability. They both had a part in creating the basics of Probability. The concept was further developed by another mathematician who created the Bayesian concept in the 18th century. The events that take place in the real world can't be predicted. We attempt to take an intelligent guess by defining the probability of the event.

It is helpful for students to understand the concepts of Probability as it will be applied in their career in the future when they work for corporate or government agencies. For making business decisions in those organizations the probability will be used.It is always a good idea to make decisions using a mathematical formula rather than experience or chance.Surprises and unpredictable outcomes are what occur in the world around us.Multiple types of outcomes could come for an event.

The probability is used to figure out the most likely outcome. It is called an experiment if the result of the process can be defined. The experiment is called a Deterministic Experiment if one can predict the outcome of it in advance.Random Experiment is also known as Non-Deterministic Experiment. We can predict which of the random experiment's outcomes will occur.

Sampling space is the collection of all the possible outcomes of a random event.A Countable number of sample points and an Uncountable number of sample points are the two types of sample points. The number of sample points cannot be divided into subcategories. The finite number of sample points can be classified as an infinite number of sample points. The first thing we need to know about probability is the definition.

Sample space is indicated by S.There is nothing but a possible outcome with the number of elements in sample space. The sample space is called Head Tail when a coin is thrown. There is 2 elements in the sample space. The sample space is when two coins are tossed at the same time.

When 3 coins are thrown at the same time the sample space is HHH HHT HTH TTH TTT THH THT.Eight elements are in the sample space. Two coins are the same as one coin tossed two times. We shouldn't be confused with the statements. It can also be called one coin thrown three times.

              The sample space when a die is thrown is 1 2 3 4 5 6.The number of samples is six.The sample space is 11 12 13 14 15 16 21 22 23 24 25 26 31 32 33 34 35 36 41 42 43 44 45 46 51 52 53.There is a sample space with 6 elements.The number of sample spaces in coins is calculated using a formula.

The sample space size is 4 if we add the n as 2.The sample space size is 16 if we put the n as 3 and 4.6n is the number of sample spaces found in dies. The sample space size is 6 if we put n 2 together. The sample space size is 36 if we add the n as 2.
