Calculus is the part of mathematics that deals with the changing quantities.Pre-calculus is the other kind of calculus. Both calculus and precalculus are static.Pre-Calculus deals with the slope of a line and the rate of speed of a moving object. The slope of a curve is related to the rate of speed of the object.

If you take is isThe physicist will try to figure out the rate of change in the velocity of the object. The rate of change in one substance to another substance is dealt with by the chemist. The biologist deals with the change of population in a species over time. The economist deals with the rate of change of some things over time.

It is very important for students to learn calculus as it can be used in any of the professional careers they will be taking over in their life. Two people from Germany and England came up with the idea of the calculus around the same time. After becoming an expert in mathematics Newton spent his time inventing new concepts related to the rate of change which was the credit for creating the differential calculus. This results in the birth of Calculus. There is a conflict about who was the first to discover calculus.

Louis Cauchy is a mathematician who has contributed to the field. He invented the formula for the limits of difference quotients and the definition of a limit.Another major mathematician was Karl Weierstrass.Limits differentiability and continuity are some of the concepts he gave a German mathematician.Pre-calculus is used to calculate the tangent to a circle.

We can use pre-calculus methods to analyse the area of a square but we need to use calculus methods to analyse the area under a curve. The three stages of Calculus are shown in the are theThe first part is pre-calculus the second part is the limit process and the final part is the calculus. It's not a good idea for students to learn Calculus as a set of formulas if they don't know the definition. The concept of limit was created by Louis and Karl during the 19th century and is still used today.
