11 Samacheer Kalvi Solutions for 12.5.10

The initial concept of Probability was created in the 16th century by two French mathematicians. Both of them are responsible for creating the basics of probability. In the 18th century another mathematician Laplace had created the Bayesian concept. In the real world many of the events can not be predicted. We try to guess the likelihood of the event by defining it.

It is beneficial for students to understand Probability as it will be applied to their career in the future when they work for corporate or government agenciesFor business decisions the probability will be used. It's always better to make decisions based on a mathematical formula rather than on chance. There are always surprises and unpredictable outcomes in the events that happen around us.There could be multiple types of outcomes at an event.

The most probable outcome is helped by the probability. If the result of the process is known and can be defined it's an experiment. The experiment is called a Deterministic Experiment if one can in advance predict the outcome of an experiment.Non-Deterministic Experiment is also a name for Random experiment. We are aware of all the possible outcomes of a random experiment.

Sample space is the collection of all the possible outcomes if there are multiple possible outcomes in a random event. There is a countable number of sample points and an un countable number of sample points. The number of sample points can't be further separated into a subcategory.A finite number of sample points or an infinite number of sample points are what the countable number of sample points can be.We need to know about the following but first we need to know the definition of probability.

A sample space is referred to by S.The number of elements in sample space is nothing more than the possible outcome.Head is the sample space when a coin is tossed. The sample space has at least two elements. When two coins are thrown at the same time the sample space is HH HT TH andTT.

When 3 coins are thrown at the same time the sample space is HHH HHT HTH TTH TTT THH THT.The space has a number of elements. Two coins are the same as one coin multiple times. We don't have to get confused by these statements. When 3 coins are thrown it is also called one coin thrown three times.

                                                    The sample space is calculated by the number of dies thrown.6 is the number of space that is available.The sample space is 11 13 14 15 16 21 22 23 25 26 31 32 33 34 35 36 41 42 43 44 45 46 51 52 53.The sample space has the number of elements in it.To find the number of sample spaces in coins you have to use the 2n formula.

The sample space size is 4 if we put the n as 2The sample space size is 8 if we put the n as 3.6n is the formula to find the number of samples in the dies. The sample space size is 6 if we add n2 to it.The sample space size is 36 if we make the n as 2.
