11 Samacheer Kalvi Solutions for 12.5.21

The original concept of Probability was created in the 16th century by two mathematicians. The foundations of Probability were created by them. The concept was created in the 18th century by Laplace who was a mathematician.Real world events can't be predicted. We attempt to take an intelligent guess as to the probability of the event occurring.

It is beneficial for students to understand Probability as it will be applied in their career when they work for corporate or government agenciesBusiness decisions will be made using the likelihood. It is always a good idea to use a mathematical formula to make decisions instead of relying on chance. There are a lot of unpredictable outcomes in the events that occur around us.There could be more than one type of outcomes that come from the event.

The most likely outcome may be determined by the probability. If the result of the process can be defined and is already known then it is called an experiment. It's called a Deterministic Experiment if one can predict the outcome of an experiment in a normal condition.Non-Deterministic experiment is a name for Random Experiment. We know all the outcomes of a random experiment.

Sample space is the collection of all possible outcomes when there are more than one possible outcome.A countable number of sample points and uncountable number of sample points are two different types of sample points. The number of sample points cannot be categorized into a subcategory. The countable number of sample points can be classified as a finite number or an infinite number.First we need to know the definition of probability then we have to know the following things.

The sample space is marked by an S.The sample space contains nothing but a possible outcome. When a coin is thrown the sample space is called Head Tail. Some elements are in the sample space. The sample space for when two coins are thrown at the same time is HH HT Th and TT.

When 3 coins are thrown at the same time the sample space is HHH HHT HT TTH TTT and THH.The sample space has 8 elementsA coin is tossed two times. We should not confuse these statements. When 3 coins are thrown it's called one coin thrown three times.

                                                    Sample space is 1 2 3 4 6 when a die is thrownThe sample space is not large.The sample space for two dies is 11 12 13 14 15 16 21 22 23 24 25 26 31 32 33 34 35 36 41 42 43 44 45 46 51 52 53.There are 6 elements in a sample space.The formula can be used to find the number of sample spaces.

A sample space size is 4 if the n is 2.If we put the n as 3 then the sample space size is 8 and if we put the n as 4 it is 16.Six is the number of sample spaces found in dies. The sample space size is 6 if we divide it by 2.The sample space size is 36 if we put the n into it.
