11 Samacheer Kalvi Solutions for 12.5.11

The concept of Probability was created in the 16th century by mathematicians from France. They are both responsible for the creation of the basics of probability.Laplace who was a mathematician in the 18th century created the Bayesian concept. The events happening in the real world can't be predicted. To take an intelligent guess we have to define the probability of the event occurring.

It is important for students to understand the concepts of Probability as it will be applied in their career in the future when they work for corporations or government agencies. The chance will be used to make business decisions in those organizations. It's always a good idea to make decisions using a mathematical formula instead of relying on experience or chance.Surprises and unpredictable outcomes are what the events that happen in the world are filled with. There could be multiple outcomes for the event.

The probability helps figure out the most likely outcome. If the result of the process can be defined it's an experiment. If one can predict the outcome of an experiment in a normal condition then it is called a Deterministic Experiment. The non-deterministic experiment is called Random Experiment. We have all of the possible outcomes of a random experiment.

Sample space is the collection of all the possible outcomes in a random event when there are multiple possibilities. There are two types of sample points: a countable number and an un countable number. The number of sample points can't be further categorized.Either an infinite number of sample points or a finite number of sample points can be classified as the countable number.First we need to know the definition of probability and then we need to know the following things.

The sample space is marked by a symbol.Number of elements in sample space is not an indication of the outcome. The sample space is named after the head and tail of a coin. The sample space had 2 elements. When two coins are thrown at the same time the sample space is HH HT TH and TT.

When there are 3 coins thrown at the same time the sample space is HHH.There are eight elements in the sample spaceTwo coins are tossed the same as one coin.We shouldn't think we're confused with these statements. When 3 coins are tossed it can also be called one coin three times.

                                                    There is a sample space for every die thrown.sample space is 6The sample space is 11 12 13 14 15 16 21 22 23 24 25 26 31 32 33 34 35 36 41 42 43 44 45 46 51 52 53The number of elements is six.A formula is used to find the number of sample spaces in coins.

The sample space size is 4 if we use the n as a starting point. If we put the n as 3 the sample space size is 8 and if we put the n as 4 it's 16.A formula is used to find the number of sample spaces. There is a sample space size of six.The sample space size is 36 with the n being 2.
