                                                          Calculus is a part of mathematics that deals with the ratio of change of quantities.Pre-calculus is one of the two types of math.Both precalculus and calculus are static.Pre-calculus deals with the slope of a line and the rate of speed of an object.The rate of speed of an object changes with the slope of a curve.

                                                          It is important for students to learn calculus as it can be used in any of the professional careers they will be taking over in their life.Two people from Germany and England introduced the same thing around the same time.After becoming an expert in mathematics Newton invented new concepts related to the rate of change.This causes the birth of Calculus.There is a dispute over who first discovered calculus.

                                                          Louis Cauchy was a major mathematician.He created the formula for the limits of difference quotients and the definition of a limit.Karl Weierstrass was a major mathematician.He was a german mathematician who gave the concepts of limits differentiability and continuity.Pre-calculus methods can be used to calculate the tangent to the circle.

                                                          Pre-calculus methods can be used to analyse the area of a square but they need to be used under a curve.Calculus has three stages.The first part of the process is pre-calculus and the second part is the limit process.It is not a good idea for students to learn a set of formulas without knowing the definition.The concept of limit was developed by Louis and Karl in the 19th century.
