Calculus is the part of mathematics that deals with the ratio of change of quantities. There are two different types of calculus one is pre-calculus and the other is calculus.Calculus is static while precalculus is dynamic.Pre-Calculus deals with the slope of a line and the speed of an object. The rate of speed of an object and the slope of a curve are dealt with in calculus.

If you take is isA physicist will try to calculate the rate of change in the object's velocity. The rate of change from a single substance to another is dealt with by the chemist. The biologists deal with the change of the population of a species over time. The rate of change of the share price is dealt with by an economist.

It is important for students to learn calculus as it can be applied to any of the professional careers they will be taking over in their life.It was introduced by two people from Germany and England at the same time. After becoming an expert in mathematics Newton spent most of his time inventing new ideas related to the rate of change. The birth of Calculus has been caused by this. There is a disagreement over who discovered what.

There is a mathematician who contributed to math. The first mathematician to create a formula for the limits of difference quotients is the one who created the definition of a limit.Karl Weierstrass is a mathematician who contributed to Calculus. He gave concepts of limits differentiability and continuity.Using pre-calculus methods we can calculate the tangent to a circle.

We can use pre-calculus methods to analyse the area of a square but we need to use the calculus methods in order to analyse the area under a curve. The three stages of Calculus are shown in the are theThe first thing that happens is the pre-calculus and the limit process. It's not a good idea for students to learnculus as a set of formulas without knowing the definition. The concept of limit was invented in the 19th century by Louis and Karl even though calculus has been around for 1000s of years.
