Calculus is the part of math that deals with the change of quantities.Pre-calculus is one of the two kinds of mathematics.Precalculus and Calculus are static and dynamic.Pre-calculus deals with the slope of a line as well as the rate of speed. The slope of a curve and the rate of speed of changing objects are dealt with in calculus.

If you take is isThe physicist is trying to calculate the rate of change in the object's speed. The rate of change in one substance to another is dealt with by a chemist. The biologists deals with the change of population rate of a species over time. The economist deals with the change in the share price over time.

It's important for students to learn calculus as it can be used in any of the professional careers they would be taking over in their life. The calculus was introduced by a couple of people around the same time. After becoming an expert in mathematics Newton spent his time inventing new concepts related to the rate of change which is what the differential calculus was created for. This causes Calculus to be born. There is a disagreement over who was the first to discover it.

Louis Cauchy is a mathematician who contributed to Calculus. The definition of a limit and the formula for the limits of difference quotients was created by him.One of the major mathematicians who contributed was Karl Weierstrass.Limits differentiability and continuity are some of the concepts that he gave a german mathematician.Pre-calculus methods can be used to calculate the arcs.

The area of a square can be analysed using pre-calculus methods but under a curve we need to use the calculus methods. The three stages of Calculus are shown in the are theThe first part of the process is the pre-calculus followed by the limit process and finally the calculus. It is not a good idea for students to learn calculus as a set of formulas without knowing the definition. The concept of limit was created only in the 19th century by Louis and Karl despite the fact that calculus has been around for 1000s of years.
