Calculus is the part of mathematics that deals with the ratio of quantities changing. There are two kinds of math one is pre-calculus and the other is calculus.Calculus is static and Precalculus is dynamic.Pre-calculus deals with the speed of an object and the slope of a line. There is a relationship between the slope of a curve and the speed of an object.

If you take inThe physicist tries to calculate the rate of change in velocity by dealing with the velocity of the object. The chemist looks at the rate of change from one substance to another. The change of rate of population of a species is dealt with by the Biologist. The economist deals with the rate of change of the economy and the share price over time.

It is important for students to learn calculus because it is applicable to any of the professional careers they would be taking over in their life.At least two people from Germany and England introduced the same thing around the same time. After becoming an expert in mathematics Newton spent his time inventing new concepts related to the rate of change. The birth of Calculus comes from this. There is a dispute over who first discovered it.

Louis Cauchy is a mathematician and a major contributor to the field. He was the first to create the formula for the limits of difference quotients. The major mathematician is Karl Weierstrass. He gave the concepts of limits differentiability and continuity and he is a german mathematician.Pre-calculus methods can be used to calculate the intersect to a circle.

We can use pre-calculus methods to analyse the area of a square but we need to use the method under a curve.Calculus is composed of three stages. The beginning is pre-calculus followed by the limit process and finally the calculus.Without knowing the definition it is not advisable for students to learn a set of formulas. The concept of limit was created in the 19th century by Louis and Karl despite the fact that calculus has been around for 1000s of years.
